Women in Public Finance Scholarship

Deadline: Aug 25     Award: $3,000     Eligible Grade Levels: High school senior

This scholarship is for women who are college-bound high school students entering their senior year in the fall of 2014. Linda Lael Miller Scholarships for Women

This scholarship is for women 25 years of age or older, who are legal residents of the United States or Canada and attending a US or Canadian college or university. COIT  Cleaning Checklist Design Scholarship 

Deadline:  August  1                           Award: $1500

Design A Checklist for Moving Out and Saving Your Security Deposit. This graphic design-centric scholarship asks you to create a cleaning checklist that would be useful to someone moving out of a dorm or apartment.  You might include tips for cleaning or repairs, as well as checklist items aimed at helping students keep their security deposits.  The checklist should be easy to read and visually appealing, so that a student might actually use it to check things off.  The length and shape of the checklist is up to you, but remember that the goal is to make it appealing and useful.  

Checklist Submission Rules:

  1. Create a checklist for moving out of a dorm or apartment.  It may be sent in any of the following formats: JPG, PNG, EPS, SVG, PDF, DOC, DOCX.
  2. Email it to us at coit.qas@gmail.com by 11:59 pm PST, August 1, 2015.  The subject line should read: COIT Scholarship, and the body of the email should include the following information: Full Name, Google+ Username (if you have one), address, phone, school name, date of birth, & parent/guardian name (if under 18).

Eligibility and Requirements:

  1. You must be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university in the USA or Canada. International students are welcome!
  2. Submission must be in by 11:59pm PST August 1, 2015.
  3. One submission per person.
  4. The winning submission will be featured on the COIT website and distributed across our social media, so that students everywhere can benefit from it!

Domo Scholarship for Business Management

Deadline: August 31     Award: $2,500     Eligible Grades: College freshman – College seniors

This scholarship is for college students who are studying business and show an interest in analytics. Applicants must be attending a four-year college or university in the United States. Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Education Support Awards

Deadline: August 1     Award: $3,000                     Eligibility: DACA students can apply

This award is for women who are at least 17 years old. To qualify, applicants must be mothers with minor children. Applicants must be enrolled in a skills training, ESL, or GED program; or pursuing a technical/vocational degree, an associate's degree, a first bachelor's degree, or a professional/master's/doctoral degree. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited program during the 2014-2015 academic year and must be low-income (annual family income less than $18,000 for a family of 2; $24,000 for a family of 3; $27,000 for a family of 4). Awards may be used for direct school expenses or for living expenses while enrolled in an educational program. ARTBA’s Student Transportation Video Contest

Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Award

Deadline: August 1     Award: $5,000 to $10,000           Eligibility: DACA students can apply as well.

This scholarship is for undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in an accredited college or university for the 2014 fall semester. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants Graduate and undergraduate applicants must have a cumulative GPA above 3.0. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have declared a major of biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related life science field. DoSomething.org’s The Hunt

Deadline: August 4     Award: $10,000                  Eligibility: DACA students can apply

Seven days. Seven causes. Seven challenges. Every day from August 4 to August 10, DoSomething will reveal a new mystery challenge around a different cause. Applicants must complete each challenge to make a serious impact in their community. Challenges relate to the environment, animals, bullying & discrimination, physical & mental health, poverty & homelessness, and education. A.E. Robert Friedman PDCA Scholarship

This scholarship is for high school seniors, college students, and graduate students. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be nominated by an active PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America) member in good standing, be 26 years old or younger, and plan to enroll in vocational, college, or post-college studies. AFSA Second Chance Scholarship Contest

This scholarship is for US citizens or alliens legally residing in the U.S. with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must attend a college, university, or certified trade school in the United States and must enroll or already be enrolled for the Spring 2013 session. Winners are not based on financial need. Relatives of AFSA staff or board members may not enter. Bryce Thomson Scholarship Award

This scholarship is for employees of active members in good standing of the NICRA (NATIONAL ICECREAM RETAILERS ASSOCIATION). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors. Applicants must display a strong academic record, leadership in both school and community activities or part-time work schedule, and demonstrate financial need. Scholarships will be awarded based on need, academic excellence, and the submitted essay. Zale Perry Scholarship annually awards deserving individuals $3,000, plus $500 stipend towards travel expenses to the The Scholarship presentation site. Candidates eligible for the scholarship are college students who are seeking to advance their knowledge or enter a professional career in the fields of underwater research, equipment technology or hyperbaric research. The Zale Parry Scholarship is administered by The Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and have a diving certification. The Comparecards.com Monthly Scholarship

Each month CompareCards will award $2,500 to any qualifying college (or college bound) student in need who can answer a tricky trivia question. Using their best pop culture and math skills, and probably a bit of help from Professor Google, students should be able to answer a series of questions to arrive at a final answer in no time!
After the submission deadline, CompareCards will gather all the correct answers and a tiebreaker question will be emailed, with a link to submit the answer.
