*The Dream.US – A NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR DREAMers 
Deadline:  March 31             Award: up to $25,000

TheDream.US is a national scholarship fund for DREAMers (DACA or Undocumented students)  established by Graham Holdings Company. The scholarships are for highly motivated DREAMers who, without financial aid, cannot afford a college education that will enable them to participate in the American workforce. TheDream.US Scholars should attend one of the listed partner institutions. For more information on our partner colleges, click here. TheDream.US awards scholarships for tuition and fees to DREAMers who have demonstrated financial need, academic achievement, and a high motivation to succeed and are accepted to attend one of our partner colleges.  The Scholarship Award is up to $12,500 for tuition, fees, and books for an associate degree, and up to $25,000 for tuition, fees, and books for a bachelor degree. The amount of each award will be based on the current tuition, fees, and estimated cost of books charged by the participating college in which the Scholar enrolls.  Students should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree at our partner colleges in NYC, Miami, Washington D.C., El Paso, Rio Grande Valley, and online. To be eligible to apply, you must:

THE SLEEKLENS ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Deadline: March 31                Award: $2,000         Elegibility: US citizens. DACA or foreigners.

The Sleeklens Academic Scholarship Program  is open to all  full-time college students, of all nationalities, as well as to high school seniors who have awarded acceptance letters from a higher education institution to start their college studies.  All applicants will get a chance to win $2000 that will be used to cover academic expenses including, but not limited to, tuition fees, books, laptops, and other equipment. The three winners with the best applications will be selected and awarded $2000.  To qualify for the scholarship, you must be an Undergraduate, a Graduate, or a High School senior with a legitimate acceptance letter from an accredited University or College and of any nationality.

National Institute of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Deadline: March 3rd     Average Award Amount: $20,000. This scholarship is for college students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are pursuing careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 3.3 GPA or rank in the top 5% of their class and demonstrate exceptional financial need. They must also be US citizens, nationals, or qualified non-citizens. Scholarship recipients will be obligated to participate in a 10-week summer position at an NIH research laboratory after each year of scholarship support. Upon graduation, recipients must also work full-time in an NIH research lab for one year for each year they received the scholarship.

Though many essay scholarships have word count requirements in the hundreds or thousands, Zinch caps theirs at 280 characters and requires applicants to respond to a prompt that changes on a weekly basis. DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS STUDENT VOLUNTEER AWARD

Please note: Students applying for this award need to receive a recommendation from their local Dollars for Scholars affiliate.

The Dollars for Scholars Student Volunteer Award (SVA) is Scholarship America's way of honoring students who embody the volunteer spirit of Dollars for Scholars.

Recipients of this national award funded by Scholarship America will receive $1,000 scholarships, with one national winner earning a $1,000 renewable award for up to four years. To apply, students must live in a community with a Dollars for Scholars affiliate and receive a recommendation from an affiliate representative. In addition, students must be enrolled in or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. (Adult students entering or resuming a postsecondary program of study are eligible, and past recipients of the award are eligible to apply again.)

All students who complete a profile on their local Dollars for Scholars affiliate website, meet the eligibility requirements and receive a recommendation from their local affiliate will match and be able to and have the opportunity to apply for the Dollars for Scholars Student Volunteer Award. Applications will be evaluated on volunteer service (with Dollars for Scholars volunteer hours earning the highest points) as well as academics, activities and other criteria.

THE CORY L. RICHARDS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, Sponsored by the Guttmacher Institute

The Cory L. Richards Memorial Scholarship Program is open to graduate students who are pursuing an advanced degree (either Masters or Doctoral) in the field of Public Policy or Public Health and demonstrate a commitment to advancing public policy related to sexual and reproductive rights. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) to apply.

One individual will be designated each year as a Cory Richards Scholar and awarded a one-time scholarship of $15,000 to support full-time graduate study at an accredited institution in the United States.
The individual will be selected based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, an essay, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal completed by a professor, advisor or mentor. ICMA-RC Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund

The ICMA-RC Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to the surviving children and spouses of US city, county, and state public employees* who have died in service to their communities.  Applicants must enroll in and attend an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school on a full-time basis. THE AMERICAN LEGION EAGLE SCOUT OF THE YEAR

THE MARINE CORPS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS OF THE UNITED STATES SCOUT OF THE YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship is for registered, active members of Boy or Girl Scout troops, Venturing crews, or Sea Scout ships who are currently enrolled in high school. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be at least 15 years old and have received the Eagle Scout Award, Girl Scout Gold Award, Venturing Silver Award, or Sea Scout Quartermaster Award. They must also have demonstrated practical citizenship in school, scouting, and the community. Scholarship applications must be submitted through a single, local VFW post. NATIONAL ITALIAN AMERICAN FOUNDATION (NIAF) SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 

Award: up to $12,000

This scholarship is for Italian Americans who are enrolled in a US-accredited college/university. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA, be a US citizen or permanent residents, and demonstrate outstanding potential and high academic achievements. JUNIOR GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars
Award: $100 to $7,500
Deadline: March 11
This scholarship is for girls between the ages of 13 and 16 who have been active members of the Ladies Auxiliary Junior Girls Unit for at least one year. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have held an office in the unit. Three letters of recommendation (one from a school teacher, a Junior Girls leader, and one other person of the applicant's choice) and school transcript are required. WALMART DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Award: $1,650 to $13,000
Deadline: March 14
This scholarship is for dependents of associates of any division of Walmart who have been actively employed with Walmart for at least six consecutive months as of March 15, 2014. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school or home school graduating seniors or earning a GED between August 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014, and have a 2.0 GPA on a four-point scale. Applicants must also enroll for fall 2014 as a full-time freshman at a two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent legal residents of the United States and be able to demonstrate financial need with required documents. Vercille Voss Graduate Student Scholarship

The IFDA Illinois Chapter initiated the Vercille Voss Graduate Student Scholarship in memory of Vercille Voss, longtime chapter member and mentor to new members and students. The applicant must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time graduate student at an accredited university.

Ruth Clark Furniture Design Scholarship

IFDA Carolinas Chapter

The Ruth Clark Furniture Design Scholarship was established by the Carolinas Chapter to honor Ruth Clark, one of the chapter's founding members. Ruth Clark, an IFDA Fellow, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. During her career, she designed upholstered furniture for several companies, and many of her designs have become classics in the industry. She mentored design students and young professionals in the field, served as Carolinas Chapter President and received the prestigious IFDA National Honorary Recognition Award in 1994. Currently she is a design consultant and furniture designer for The Clark Connection. The scholarship is open to currently enrolled post-secondary students whose emphasis is on residential furniture design.

Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship

Aware of increasing environmental concerns worldwide, the IFDA Educational Foundation established a scholarship for a student focusing on the evolving green/sustainable field of study. Sustainable design is the development of innovative ways to create living spaces that are energy efficient and feature green/sustainable materials, fabrications and products. The student applying for this scholarship is planning to become an educated participant in the green movement. Paying equal attention to both sustainability factors and design aesthetics, the student should be demonstrating creative use of green products and eco-friendly furnishings in class projects. Ages: High School Freshman to College Freshman

Toyota Teen Driver is awarding a $15,000 Grand Prize to a high school student who submits a short video about safe teen driving. The two runners-up will receive $10,000 and $7,500 respectively.

Plus, the Grand Prize winner will work with a professional film crew to re-shoot their video into a TV-ready PSA and the first runner-up will win a behind-the-scenes trip to a television show!

Top-notch film skills are not needed and smart phone videos are accepted. This program is open to any high school student who is at least 13 years of age.

This scholarship is for women pursuing study in information security or cyber security. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must pursue a course of study and/or have declared a major with an information science (IA) concentration in one of the scientific, technical, or managerial disciplines related to computer and network security. Applicants must be enrolled at a regionally accredited non-profit college or university (or equivalent for non-US applicants). Students seeking a two-year Associate's Degree and part-time students seeking their degree at night also qualify. ASDSO Scholarship Program Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO)

Deadline: March 31            Award: 10,000

This scholarship is for full-time college undergraduates who are enrolled full-time in an accredited civil engineering program or a related field as determined by ASDO. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in hydraulics, hydrology, or geotechnical disciplines, or in another discipline related to design, construction, and operation of dams. Applicants must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA for the first three years of college and be recommended by their academic advisor. Applicants must be enrolled at the senior level during the 2014-2015 school year and plan to graduate in May/December 2015. LIN Media Minority Scholarship & Training Program

This scholarship is for minority students who are pursuing careers in broadcast television or digital media. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and be a declared major in broadcast journalism, digital multimedia, mass/speech/digital communication, television production, or marketing at an accredited university of college within the United States. Applicants must have completed sufficient semester hours or similar education units to be classified by their college or university as sophomore. Applicants must be citizens of the United States or have permanent resident status; and be of non-white origin. Scholarship recipients will be awarded a two-year scholarship in addition to placement in a paid internship program at one of LIN Media's television stations around the country.
