BBG COMMUNICATIONS SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline: June 30         Award: $1,000

The BBG Communications scholarship is designed for students between the ages of 16 and 21 who are currently in or will be attending an institution of higher education in the Fall of 2014.
To be considered eligible for the BBG Communications Scholarship you must:
A) Be between the ages of 16 and 21 on June 30, 2014
B) Submit answers to the two essay questions, which can be found on the application page, prior to the June 30, 2014 deadline.
C) Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award
D) Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
E) Be a citizen of the United States or Canada

Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Scholarships

Deadline: June 30     Award: $5,000                 Eligibility: Graduate students, DACA can apply.

This scholarship is for individuals who hold an active Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential in good standing and demonstrate a commitment to provide career development services for at least two years after graduation. US applicants must be enrolled in a master's-level program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP). US applicants must also apply for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential credential prior to graduation. International applicants must either hold an active GCDF credential in good standing and be enrolled in an advanced educational program in counseling or be students currently enrolled in both a GCDF training program and a post-bachelor's counseling program, as appropriate to their country. NAEHCY’s LeTendre Education Fund Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who are homeless or who have been homeless during their K-12 school attendance, and who have demonstrated average or higher than average achievement. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must not have reached their 21st birthday by September 1. Applicants may be high school seniors, students enrolled in a GED or other alternative education program, or recent graduates/GED recipients. This contest is for legal permanent residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are ages 16 through 21. Harness Tracks of America Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for children of licensed drivers, trainers, caretakers, and management in the harness racing industry, as well as students who are actively engaged in the harness racing industry themselves. Students must be pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, financial need, and active harness racing involvement. United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Scholarship

This scholarship is for UFCW members and their unmarried dependents. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants applying as unmarried dependents must be under the age of 20 as of May 31. Scholarships will be awarded based on scholastic achievements, community involvement, and an essay that shows an understanding of the principles of the labor movement. This scholarship is for college seniors who are actuarial science majors. Alice Meyer Brown Scholarship

This scholarship is for women who are high school seniors and residents of Illinois. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must excel in the game of golf, have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and community involvement, and be accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning for the next academic year. Applicants must plan to continue their competitive golf career in college. “Stand & Be Heard” Anthem Singing Contest

Deadline: June 20     Award: $10,000

This scholarship contest is for students who are members of a national agriculture-related student organization such as FFA, 4-H, or NAMA. Applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 21.  To enter this contest, applicants must submit a performance video of themselves singing the National Anthem. Videos will be posted online for popular voting to determine the four finalists. The four finalists will travel to Nashville for a recording session with a professional music producer. Exercise for Life Athletic Scholarship

Deadline: June 20     Award: $10,000                DACA students can apply as well.

This scholarship is for high school seniors with cystic fibrosis who are demonstrate scholastic ability, athletic ability (as evidenced by regular exercise) character, leadership, service to the community, need for financial assistance, and daily compliance to CF therapy. Foundation for Global Scholars Scholarships

Deadline: June 27     Award: $2,500

These scholarships are for students who are studying abroad for a minimum of four weeks. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree program at a US college or university where transfer credit from an academic program abroad will be applied to your US degree being earned.  Applicants also must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. This scholarship is for children of active members of the International Code Council or children of code enforcement agency personnel employed by an active governmental member of the International Code Council. This scholarship is for adults who are at least 19 years old and have a high school diploma. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must complete the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Educational Success Potential Assessment.   Applicants must have a GED or pass an Ability to Benefit test, if they do not have a high school diploma. Randy Pausch Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for students who are pursing a career in the development of interactive entertainment. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be full-time students who are currently attending a college or university in the United States (high school seniors are not eligible). They must also have a 3.3 GPA. Possible career paths for this scholarship include art, animation, programming, engineering, game direction, game design, sound design, and music composition. Americanism Educational Leaders Essay Contest

This essay contest is for current undergraduate college and university students in the United States who are US citizens.  Each student is allowed one essay on one of the following prompts: 1) Political: How would you address the issue of United States congressional gridlock? 2) Social: How would you address the issues of immigration in the United States?; or 3) Economical: How would you address the current United States budget deficit? Essays must be between 1,500 and 2,000 words in length and will be judged not on the basis of agreement or disagreement with the views of Americanism Educational Leaders or on the length of their bibliographies, but on their internal logic, coherence, originality, thoughtfulness, and evidence of sound research. Digital Privacy Scholarship

Deadline: June 30     Award: $1,500

This scholarship is for high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors or students currently enrolled in college or graduate school. Home schooled students are also eligible. Applicants must be US citizens or legal residents. To apply, applicants must submit an application form including an 140-character message about digital privacy. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists and asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about digital privacy. American Ground Water Trust Annual Scholarships

These scholarships are for students entering their college freshman year, who intend to pursue a career in a ground water-related field.  These scholarships are for students entering their college freshman year, who intend to pursue a career in a ground water-related field. ARN BSN Scholarship

This scholarship is for rehabilitation nurses who demonstrate involvement in ARN. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must currently be enrolled in a BSN degree program, in good standing, and have successfully completed at least one course. Applicants must demonstrate current practice in rehabilitation nursing and have a minimum of two years' experience in rehabilitation nursing. ENA Foundation Academic Scholarships

Deadline: June 1      Award: up to $10,000

These scholarships are for members of the Emergency Nurses Association who have been members for a minimum of 12 months immediately prior to applying. Non-RN category applicants are not required to be ENA members, but a letter of reference from a current ENA member is required. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be attending a NLn, CCNE, or AACN accredited school. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply under the same category; however, qualified previous recipients may apply for the next category. ENA members having served in the immediate past three years on the ENA Board of Directors, ENA Foundation Board of Trustees, or ENA Foundation Scholarship Review Team are ineligible to apply. International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Foundation Scholarships

Deadline: June 1      Award: $5,000

These scholarships are for current members of the American and Canadian Fire Service. Applicants' fire chief should be a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs; IAFC members are given preference. To qualify, applicants must currently be active members of a state, county, providential, municipal, community, industrial, or federal fire department. Volunteers must have three years experience; paid must have two years; combination three years paid and volunteer; and explorer one year. National American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants Scholarship

Deadline: June 1      Award: $3,000

This scholarship is for those aspiring to become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). The recipient of this scholarship will receive the complete Becker CPA Review Course (a $3,065 value). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the minimum education requirements to sit for the CPA exam. Applicants must be accounting majors and seniors, 5th-year students, graduate students, or graduates, and are eligible to take a review course within one year of scholarship awarding. Applicants must provide transcripts and an essay, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and be US citizens or permanent residents. Needs and scholastic aptitude will be considered. FFRF William J. Schulz High School Essay Contest

This contest is for North American high school seniors who are freethinkers (atheists/agnostics/nonbelievers).  Applicants must graduate in the spring of 2014 and go to college in the fall of 2014. Copyright Awareness Scholarship

This scholarship is for students between 13 and 25 years of age at the time of application.  To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited secondary school or post-secondary institution of higher learning (college, university, or trade school). To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit a creative video presentation between 30 seconds and 3 minutes that would be used to educate their peers on the importance of intellectual property and copyright law. National Pathfinder Scholarship

This scholarship is for women who are seeking undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. Berrien Fragos Thorn Arts Scholarships for Migrant Farmworkers

Deadline: June 1     Award: $2,500

These scholarships are for individuals with a history of migration to obtain work in agriculture. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must be at least 16 years of age and demonstrate an interest in pursuing further development of their talents in one of the following disciplines: visual arts, performing arts, media (film, video, animation, computer graphics, etc.), and crafts (traditional folk arts, furniture weaving, pottery, etc.). There are two options in applying for funding: option one (grants under $500) has no deadline for applicants and requests are reviewed case-by-case; option two (grants up to $2500) has application deadlines of June 1 and November 1 and requires that a portfolio or samples of work and a budget or documentation of expenses be submitted with the application. Because no essay is required, the letter of recommendation is very important and should address the qualify of both the applicant and intended project. These scholarships are for high school seniors and undergraduate students who have spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, and/or neurogenic bladder.  To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must be attending a two-year, four-year, or graduate school program full-time in the fall. FarmHouse Foundation Scholarships

These scholarships are open to all FarmHouse Fraternity chapter members. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must be enrolled at a university hosting a FarmHouse Fraternity chapter; carrying a schedule typical for their classification; living in the chapter house if an undergraduate and space is available, or in the city where the university is located if a graduate student; and have a GPA above or equal to the chapter's average. Collegiate Inventors Competition

Deadline: June 15     Award: $15,000

This competition is intended to encourage students to share their inventive ideas. To qualify, applicants must be enrolled or have been enrolled full-time in any US or Canadian college or university at least part of the 12-month period prior to the date the entry is submitted. In the case of a team (maximum of four students), at least one member of the team must meet the full-time eligibility criteria. The other team members must have been enrolled on a part-time basis (at a minimum) sometime during the 24-month period prior to the date the entry is submitted. This scholarship is for 3D graphic design students who are currently enrolled at an accredited university or college.  To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submission and be legal US residents. School-Age Financial Aid Program

Deadline: June 2     Award: $1,500

This program is for students between the ages of 6 and 21 who have moderate to profound hearing loss.   Spoken communication must be the student's primary mode of communication and applicants' bilateral hearing loss or auditory neuropathy must have been diagnosed before the child's fourth birthday. Students with unilateral (one-sided) hearing loss do not qualify. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a parochial, independent, or private school in which they participate in a mainstream educational program; students at public or homeschool programs do not qualify. Applicants must live in the United States or Canada. Preference may be given to members of AG Bell, although this is not a requirement. Walmart Associate Scholarship

This scholarship is for Walmart associates who have been employed part-time or full-time with any division for at least six consecutive months prior to the appropriate application due date.   To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be graduating high school seniors or have graduated high school/home school or obtained a GED. High school seniors must wait to apply until they are within six months of starting their college courses. Each month CompareCards will award $2,500 to any qualifying college (or college bound) student in need who can answer a tricky trivia question.
