Can anyone suggest the name of a Hispanic Dance Group to perform at a school event in the evening?

Hello Ms. Braxs,
Los Cojolites, the Latin Grammy nominated Son Jarocho group from Vera Cruz, who are featured on the soundtrack for the motion picture FRIDA starring Selma Hayek (2002), will be featured guests at the 2015 Midwest Encuentro de Jaraneros in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison around the dates of July 30 -Aug. 6, 2015. I live across the river in the "capital" of southern Illinois, Carbondale. I have been trying to find ways to bring the Cojolites here to present, but to no avail as of yet. Might you be interested in hosting them, since St. Louis is a major U.S. city and hence, possibly has more access to funding (?) I know, the arts are hurting all over. But I am certain you would not be disappointed as these young musicians are top-notch and leading the Jaranero Movement globally. Pardon my boldness, it is certainly my intention to build opportunities with you and support HAC's mission for everyone's benefit.

The manager for this group while in the Midwest is Mr. Jaime Garza. He can be reached at 773-982-4600. I am willing to collaborate with you on funds-seeking endeavors and/or grant writing. https://www.facebook.com/loscojolites?fref=ts Thank you for your attention. My telephone is: 618-303-6237, Colleen Springer-Lopez, Project Coordinator, SI CABE: Southern Illinois Culture & Arts in Bilingual Education. Muchisimas gracias de antemano.

Hi Colleen, lets talk about it. Right now we have plans until 2017, since we do have to work on bringing artists at least one year ahead of time. But we can explore the possibility. When you are able, give us a call at 314-863-0570.
Best,
Virginia
